MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Amid the Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), police arrested 10 persons in this province and nearby Bulacan and Nueva Ecija over the weekend as the Police Regional Office 3 intensifies its war on illegal drugs.
In Pampanga, police operatives arrested Joel Torres alias "Patdu", resident of Sitio 7, Sto Niño, City of San Fernando; Acmad Guinto alias "Kamkam", resident of Palanca St., Bgy San Miguel, Manila; and Casandra Velatcha, resident of Dau St., Bgy Lote, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
Confiscated from the suspects were six pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, four pieces P1,000 bills used as marked money in the buy-bust operation; two pouches, and one cellphone.
In Bulacan, police operatives arrested Ricardo Azonsa Jr., resident of Bgy. Bulualto, San Miguel; Jeremiah Arcega, resident of Iras St Barangay Poblacion, Norzagaray; Jerome Castillo, resident of Barangay Poblacion, Norzagaray; Paulo Dela Cruz, included in PNP-PDEA unified drug watchlist; and Wilson Austria, both residents of Bgy. Concepcion, Baliwag.
Confiscated from the suspects were 12 sachets of suspected shabu.
Police operatives of Nueva Ecija conducted anti-illegal drug buy-bust operations which resulted to the arrest of the following: Ferdinand Limbaga, resident of Bgy Gomez, Sta Rosa and Rogelita Alcantara, resident of Purok 2, Bgy. Cruz Roja, Cabanatuan City.
Seized from their possession were 17 transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the P1,000 marked money.
PRO3 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Rhodel O. Sermonia said that they continue to conduct pro-active operations against all forms of illegal drugs in order to achieve its quest for a drug-free Central Luzon aside from their enormous tasks in the ECQ.
