TANZA, Cavite -- A drug pusher was shot dead early yesterday morning when he fought off the cop about to arrest him during a drug-bust operation.

Arnel Torrejos, of Belvedere Homes, Bgy. Paradahan 1,  this town, was selling a sachet of shabu worth P300 to a poseur-buyer. When he was about to be apprehended after giving the sachet of shabu to the poseur, he pulled a cal. .38 revolver and fired at a policeman who ducked for cover.

The suspect was killed after he was taken to Tanza Family Hospital after he was hit by a bullet during the exchange of gunfires.

Police recovered the firearm of the suspect and the shabu.
