Pusher shot dead, 6 busted for P500-K shabu

CAMP Brig. Gen. Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City, Cavite -- A notorious drug pusher responsible for the proliferation of illegal drugs in the city was shot dead during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Bacao 2, at midnight yesterday.

Police identified the suspect as John Paulo delos Reyes, alias ‘Pok-Pok, of Purok 9, Bgy. Ba-cao 2, General Trias City.

Recovered from the slain suspect was a cal. .38 revolver and six sachets of shabu, police added.

The suspect set the place and time where he would show up with his counter partner, a police asset.

The suspect arrived before 12 midnight and signalled that he has the illegal drug after which the supposed buyer showed the ‘marked’ money. When he received the money, the policemen showed up but the suspect backed off, pulled out a revolver but he was shot before he could pull the trigger.

Meanwhile, in Bacoor City, police arrested six persons dealing illegal drugs inside a motel.

Supt. Vicente Caba-tingan, Bacoor chief of police, identified those arrested as Kamar Malwe, Irene Collado, Vivencio Balatayo, April Joy Solmayor, Nida Sarif and alias ‘Acel’.

During the operation, the team was able to seize from Kamar eight sachets of shabu with an approximate weight of 62.77 grams with a street value of P426,836, a sachet of  dried marijuana leaves worth P1,260 and a cal. .45 pistol.

Confiscated from Sarif was a plastic sachet of shabu weighing 75.05 grams with a street value of P510,340.

Cabatingan said Kamal is one of the biggest suppliers of shabu in Bgys. Zapote 1, Zapote 2, Talaba 2 and Talaba 7, and also a known local gun-for-hire in his hometown in Marawi City .

The arrested suspects were brought to Bacoor City Police Station for investigation and proper disposition while the confiscated pieces of evidence were submitted to PNP Crime Laboratory Office, Imus City for chemical analysis, along with the suspects who will be subjected for drug test examination.
