Quezon cops collar 3 suspected drug pushers

TAYABAS CITY--- Anti-drugs operatives of the city police arrested three suspected drug pushers including a recipient of Social Àmelioration Program (SAP) in two consecutive police operations in this city.

Quezon police director, Col. Audie Madrideo, identified the arrested suspects as John Merbert Jasmin, 30, Christian Mark Lacorte, 34, both residents of this city, and John Eric Jose, 20, of Lucena City.

Madrideo said Jasmin is a SAP recepient  and was arrested in 2018 for drug charges but was eventually freed after he availed plea bargain arrangements with authorities.

City police chief, Major Mark Amat said Jasmin was arrested during a drug buy bust at Bgy. Wakas and yielded ₱7,140 worth of shabu and a marked P500 bill.

In a follow-up operation, Amat said his operatives collared Lacorte and Jose in a drug bust at Brgy. Opias where they seized  ₱151,368 worth of shabu and various drug paraphernalia and 30 pieces of marked P500 bills.

The suspects were detained at the Lock-Up Jail.
