Quezon police’s SACLEO scores anew

LUCENA CITY – A week-long Simultaneous Anti- Criminality and Law Enforcement (SACLEO) of the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) in the entire province proved fruitful anew, police officials said yesterday.

In the campaign against illegal drugs, Quezon police director Col. Ramil Montilla said that from July 2 to 6, they arrested 32 suspects, 20 of them included in the drug watchlist, while 11 were newly-identified.

Seized were 81.831 grams of shabu and two grams of dried marijuana leaves.

Montilla said one drug suspect was killed during police operation.

In the campaign against wanted criminals, the provincial director said they arrested nine  most wanted persons and 38 other wanted persons while in the drive against loose and unrenewed firearms, 12 persons, including a barangay captain, and two businessmen, were arrested during implementation of search warrants. Thirteen firearms were confiscated.

Montilla vowed to keep on gaining positive results in their anti- criminality campaign.
