Quezon's 2 most wanted felons fall

LUCENA CITY--- Joint police teams yesterday arrested a wanted man facing robbery with frustrated homicide charges at Purok Paraiso, Bgy., Ibabang Iyam, here.

Quezon police director Col. Audie Madrideo identified the nabbed felon as Tony Bitoin, 48, construction worker and resident of said village.

He said Bitoin is the province's 8th most wanted man.

By virtue of an arrest order issued by Calauag Regional Trial Court Judge Mariano Morales Jr, Madrideo said the suspect was collared by joint elements of Lucena City police station under Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Regional Special Operations Group of the RegionaI Intelligence Division under Lt. Col Melvin Montante together with personnel of Lopez police station under Major Margarito Umali.

Quoting police records,  Madrideo said that on September 11, 2005, the suspect stabbed his victim using a knife after taking the latter's cash and cellular phone at Bgy. Tan-ag, Lopez, Quezon.

The suspect is presently detained at the custodial facility of Lucena City Police Station and will be turnedover to Lopez Municipal Police Station.

Meanwhile, the police also arrested the 4th most wanted man of Infanta, Quezon.

Town police commamder, Major Joselito Araja said Rommel Martin Morilla, 39, of Purok Maligaya, Bgy Dinahican faces frustrated homicide charges.

Araja said the arrest was carried out on the strength of an arrest order issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Arnelo Mesa.
