SUSPECTED New People’s Army guerrillas barged into the house of a man they accused of being an Army informer in Bindoy, Negros Oriental early Monday morning and dragged him outside where they killed him in a gang-style execution, a belated Police Regional Office 7 report said yesterday.
The report said at least 40 heavily-armed rebels arrived at the house of Reynaldo Loqueloque in Sitio Abaka, Barangay Nalundan, Bindoy around 7:45 p.m. on Monday. The victim was watching television with his family.
At gunpoint, the suspects forcibly brought the victim outside his house and shot him in the head.
PRO7 director, Chief Superintendent Debold M. Sinas said the incident was reported to the Bindoy municipal police by the son of the victim around 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
Sinas said the victim’s son told the local police that after killing his father, the gunmen shouted “Mabuhay ang Kilusan” and introduced themselves as NPA members.
The younger Loqueloque told police the guerrillas left an NPA flag at their place.
