POLICE Regional Office 12 director, Brigadier General Alfred S. Corpus, the other day led the oath-taking of 180 recruits of the Socksargen police force who will be undergoing more than a year of training before being fielded to different police stations and mobile forces in the region.

During the oath-taking ceremony held at the PRO12 headquarters in Tambler, General Santos City, Corpus challenged the recruits to be true to their pledge to ‘serve and protect’ the country and the people.

He also encouraged them to wholeheartedly submit to the training process for it will make them a genuine police officer who lives by the dogmas of the PNP.

“As soon-to-be full-pledged members of the PNP, work hard to make a name that will make not just your family proud but also the PNP as well. In fact, give it more than everything you got. Adopt the PRO 12 mentality which is to always go beyond what is expected. I will not demand to hear your answer right now but rather, I want to see it. With your performance, give me a resounding assertion that in PRO 12, we are more than our badge,” Corpus, a member of Philippine Military Academy ‘Hinirang’ Class of 1987 who used to be a PNP Training Service director said.
