POLICE Regional Office 4-A director Brigadier General Vicente D. Danao Jr. ordered the relief of the chief of the San Pablo City police in Laguna after six banned “video-karera” machines were seized in his area Friday afternoon.
“I have long been telling all Calabarzon police chiefs that we have to fully comply with Philippine National Police chief General Archie Francisco F. Gamboa’s directive to stop all forms of illegal gambling activities and the one-strike policy will apply on those who will be found wanting. This is just the start,” Danao told the Journal Group.
The PRO4-A director said he ordered the relief of San Pablo City police station chief Lieutenant Colonel Eliseo Bernales after six “VK” machines were recovered by members of the Laguna Police Provincial Intelligence Branch led by Major Ryan Jay Orapa in Barangay del Remedio, Patria Village around 5 p.m. on Friday.
Danao said he ordered the raid amid complaints on the existence of ‘VK’ machines associated with illegal drug abuse in the area.
