APAYAO -- A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman and a student were allegedly stabbed by an unidentified suspect in Bgy. Amado, Pudtol town, Saturday night.
Local police identified the victims as MC Kevin Afaga Lacar, 23, single, SK chairman, and Archer James Castillo, 26, single, student, both residents of Bgy. San Antonio, Pudtol.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victims with some friends attended a wedding celebration at the said barangay. Accordingly, Lacar was leaning on an owner-type jeep parked along the road when the suspect approached him and confronted him, triggering a heated argument between them.
The suspect brought out a knife and stabbed the victim while Castillo, who was standing along the road, was also stabbed and boxed by the suspect who hurriedly fled.
Barangay tanods brought the victims to Amma Jadsac District Hospital at Poblacion, Pudtol.
Lacar suffered a stab wound in the left abdomen while Castillo sustained a stab wound in the left chest.
Both victims were transferred to Far North General Hospital & Training Center in Luna town.
Responding personnel of Pudtol Municipal Police Station are conducting follow-up investigation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspect.
