TANZA, Cavite -- Police on surveillance operations against wanted persons arrested a man for carrying firearm Sunday morning.
Suspect Charito Mercado was tucking a cal. .45 pistol when local policemen accosted him at 11 a.m.
Police arrested Mercado when he failed to show documents for the gun. He was also discovered to be a bodyguard of a congressman in the province who is now running for vice mayor in this town. The suspect was charged for illegal possession of firearms and bullets.
