A CEBU City teenager was arrested by the police on Monday evening after he sold some P4 million worth of shabu to an undercover officer, Police Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas reported yesterday.
The 16-year-old suspect whose name was withheld yielded 15 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing some 600 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ during the buy-bust operation in San Vicente Ferrer in Bgy. Duljo Fatima 8:30 p.m. Monday, said the Central Visayas police director.
Sinas said that during questioning, the teenager identified the main source of the drugs confiscated from his possession as one Revin Bardon, a suspected big-time drug trafficker in the region who is now being held at the Cebu City Jail.
Bardon was arrested during an entrapment operation in the city last February which led in the recovery of four kilograms of shabu worth P27.2 million.
Sinas said that last Monday’s buy-bust operation was conducted by members of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group’s Special Operations Unit 5, the PRO7 Regional Special Operations Group, Regional Intelligence Division, the Cebu City Police Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
The young suspect is now under the custody of the Cebu City Police Station 11.
