Top ranking NPA exec slain in Bukidnon clash with troops

A high ranking official of the New Peoples’Army (NPA) was killed in an encpunter with government troops the otjer day in Damulog, Bukidnon.

Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry Battalion (IB) commander Colonel Oscar Partuza identified the slain rebel as Eduardo Arnado alias Choi.

Arnado is a Deputy Secretary of Guerilla Front 53 (GF 53) and concurrent head extortionist of NPA in North Cotabato, Northern Davao Del Sur and Southern Bukidnon.

Reports from Camp Aguinaldo showed that troops from 3rd at 19th Infantry Battalions (IB) were conducting security operation in Sitio Lamparuc, Barangay Sampagar, Damulog, Bukidnon when they encountered the rebel group.

A fire fight immediately occurred and lasted fot atleast ten minutes and resulted in the killing of the NPA leader.

Recovered from the encounter site were one caluber 45 gun, magazine, ammunition and high caliber gun and subversive documents.
