Tracking device found

ALBAY police provincial office director Wilson Asueta has ordered Rapu-Rapu, Albay MPS head, Police Captain Dante Buenafe to create a special team to probe the reported recovery of a cocaine tracking device found in the open sea, off-coast of the island town of Rapu -Rapu this week.

Reports reaching this camp described, the tracking device as round in shape with marking, “BMR-800-D” estimated to cost P47,000 per unit. The said device has been handed over to the police crime lab in this camp for analysis.

It was also reported that a similar tracking device was also found at the open sea off-coast of Gubat, Sorsogon, where 40 blocks of cocaine in boxes contained in black garbage bags weighing about 39-kilos; and valued at P 218.400-million pesos earlier by three fishermen in the said locality.
