Wesmin’s 4 most wanted caught

POLICE Regional Office 9 director, Brigadier General Jesus D. Cambay Jr. yesterday announced the capture of four of Western Mindanao’s most wanted persons  including one who has been in hiding since 1994 following separate manhunt operations in the region over the weekend.

The official said one of the four identified as Rolando Bayotas, a 65-year-old farmer from Purok 2, Barangay SInonok in Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur was arrested by the local police  last Saturday on the strength of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Judge Simplicio Acojedo of the Siocon-Baliguia-Siraway Municipal Circuit Trial Court in Zamboanga del Norte on October 4, 1994.

No bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of Bayotas who was identified as the no. 2 most wanted man in Baliguian municipality.

The 2nd identified as Reagan Askandal,35, a fisherman wanted for a frustrated murder case was arrested in Sitio Mariki in Bgy. Tagisian, Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay on the same afternoon.

The suspect was described as the no. 6 most wanted person in Margosatubig municipality. Judge Ruben Bance of the San Miguel RTC Branch 29 recommended a P200,000 bail for the suspect’s temporary liberty.

The 3rd identified as Roberto Pilapil, a 45-year- old farmer wanted for a rape case was tracked down in his hiding place in Purok Samahan Nayon in Bgy. Guba-an in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur shortly after noon last Saturday.

Cambay said no bail was recommended for the liberty of the accused by Judge Joel Vercide of the Molave, Zamboanga del Sur RTC Branch 23.

The 4th wanted man identified as Feddie Sibuco, 38, a utility worker from Sitio Mabait in Bgy. Poloyagan, Dapitan City was arrested by the local police on the strength of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Judge Dennis Vicoy of the Pagadian City RTC Branch 20.

No bail was recommended for the liberty of the suspect who is now being held at the Kumalarang police lock-up facility pending the issuance of an official commitment order on him by the court.
