STA MARIA, Ilocos Sur -- A 40-year-old woman was found brutally murdered and raped yesterday in Barangay Suso, Santiago town.
Sta. Maria police investigator Cpl. John Bryan Dollente identified the victim as Jonalyn Ecraela Fabro, of Barangay Bigbiga, Santiago town.
“We are still conducting follow-up investigation and requested the SOCO team to determine the victim’s cause of death since her face was badly mangled and the other side of her head bore cracks,” Dollente said.
“The suspect hit the victim’s face with a hard object and there was a severe wound on the other side of her head.
“The victim was naked when found, raising suspicion that she was raped,” Dollente added.
