THE COVID-19 pandemic has caused the cancellation of sports clinics this summer.
But for College of Saint Benilde coach TY Tang, there are still ways to learn the basics of basketball through digital ways to stay active and fit this summer.
Through his TY Tang Basketball School, he recently released instructional videos as if the young kids are undergoing into an actual clinic.
"All you need is a bit of space and a ball. Allot 15-30 minutes a day and keep this habit going to maintain a healthy lifestyle while on lockdown," said Tang.
For the kids to learn about basketball, Tang has recently made a YouTube channel where he can still continue doing drills to share to make up from missing the sessions due to the enhanced community quarantine.
"This time it’s for everyone, including adults. I’m inviting you all to come and visit my channel to have some fun and active workouts for the kids or maybe some parent and child quality time everyday at the convenience of your own homes," said Tang.
"I will constantly upload new workouts to follow during this time of the ECQ," he added.
Due to the lockdown, TY Tang Basketball School has suspended its sessions last March 14. But not even the COVID-19 can stop the future basketeers from learning.
