Cholo goes to work

PATIENCE is a process.

This is the mantra of young basketball star Cholo Anonuevo a couple of days after arriving in Ohio to pursue his dreams overseas.

Anonuevo, who played for Far Eastern University-Diliman in the UAAP high school boys basketball tournament, immediately buckled down to work and was seen in an intense workout with NBA G League-bound Kai Sotto at the Kaiju Academy over the weekend.

In an Instagram video posted by Atlanta-based sports and entertainment management company East West Private, it showcased how the 7-foot-2 Sotto has been guiding the 6-foot-4 forward, who grew up in Dublin, Ireland.

“So proud of Kai Sotto leadership both on and off the court! It’s important in life to give back because that’s what family does! Partnerships and networks are key,” EWP's post read.

Anonuevo will most likely spend the rest of the year in the United States as he looks to follow Sotto's steps of playing in the G League.

“Many more young men like Cholo Anonuevo and women to be added and to join worldwide,” EWP said.
