D-League bound Dragons need players

December 20, 2018

WANTED: Young and talented players for newly-crowned Universities and Colleges Basketball League (UCBL) champion Diliman College.

Multi-titled coach Rensy Bajar said the team will add more players to the line-up as part of their preparations for their inaugural appearance  in  the  PBA D-League next  year.

“This is a new challenge for the team.  But we intend to form up a competitive  team  before the D-League begins,” said Bajar,  who hopes to bring the same winning  mentality of  the team in the PBA D-League.

“We know that the competition will be tougher. There are more  established commercial and collegiate teams there. But our team will give all of them a good fight,” added Bajar.

Bajar, also the first assistant coach of NorthPort Batang Pier coach Pido Jarencio, said he is confident that the Blue Dragons will continue to do well.

“I think we have prepared our players well for this new challenge with the support of the Diliman College community,  headed by former Sen. Nikki Coseteng and our major sponsor Gerry’s Grill  thru Jerome Ngo and Wilson Sia,” added Bajar.

Tryouts are being  held from 2 p.m. every Monday,  Wednesday and Friday at the Diliman College gym in Commonwealth Ave.,  Diliman,  Quezon City.

Players should be 29 years old and below to be eligible to join the tryouts.

“This is a good opportunity for young and talented players to join our team and be part of the PBA D-League,” added Bajar.
