SEVEN out of seven for Diliman College.
Diliman College rode on the brilliant, all-around game of Kevin Gandjeto to bring down NCAA member Letran College, 93-87, and extend its winning streak to seven games in the 2018 Fr. Martin’s Cup basketball championship at the San Beda gym.
Gandjeto produced a rare triple-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks to power the Quezon City-based Blue Dragons to another important victory over the Knights.
The Rensy Bajar-mentored Blue Dragons will enter the quarterfinal round with an unbeaten record in seven outings.
“This is another morale-boosting win for the team,” said Bajar, the athletic director-coach who is widely credited for making Diliman College as one of the leading collegiate teams.
“Beating Letran is another feather to our cap. I am happy for Diliman College community and the players who tireless worked hard to achieve our goals,” added Bajar.
Bajar thanked Diliman College president formerSen. Nikki Coseteng and team sponsors Jerome Ngo and Wilson Sia of Gerry’s Grill for the team’s success.
