Saints blessed with their 4th win

ST. CLARE-Virtual Realty joined University of Santo Tomas on top of the Aspirants’ Group while Metropac-SBU gained a piece of second place in the Foundation Group yesterday in the PBA D-League at the Ynares Sports Arena.

The Saints pulled away in the payoff period to beat FamilyMart-Enderun, 71-64, while the Movers rediscovered their winning ways with a 75-51 rout of Cha Dao-FEU.

In the other game, Diliman-Gerry’s compounded SMDC-NU’s woes with an 82-70 victory to collect its second win in the Foundation Group.

Irvin Palencia set the pace for St. Clare with 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists, with backcourt partner Joshua Fontanilla contributing 14 points, three boards, and three assists.

Collecting their fourth win in as many games, the Saints are now tied with the Growling Tigers in their bracket.
