Mike 'Magic'Plania won against his favored American foe and left a recored in the local boxing books.
Plania dropped his American Josh Greer two times on the way to an upset decision win in their 10-round bantamweight clash Tuesday in Las Vegas, Nevada (Wednesday, Manila time).

He rocked Greer with a crippling left hook to the head in the first round, before following it up with another hammering left in the sixth of their closed door fight at MGM Grand Arena.
The Filipino was already showing signs of fatigue in the latter rounds, but was able to fend off Greer's rally in the closing part of the bout.
Two of the judges had it 96-92 and 97-91 for Plania, while the other scored it at an even 94-94 for a majority decision favoring the Filipino.
The Filipino underdog took the bout with just 4 weeks' notice at a contracted 120-pound catchweight.
Plania now holds a record of 24-1 in his sixth fight in the US.
His win streak was extended to 9 fights, while snapping Greer's 19-fight run.
Greer fell to 22-2.
