THE Philippine Azkals matches in the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup qualifiers scheduled for June were called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The AFC late Tuesday has announced that all international matches set in May and June have been postponed until further notice.
The Philippines was supposed to play a June 4 away game against China and a June 9 home match at the Rizal Memorial Stadium against Maldives.
Last month, the Azkals also had their March 26 home match against Guam moved to a later date due to the public health emergency.
Also, next month's AFC Cup group stage fixtures featuring reigning Philippine club champion Ceres-Negros FC and Kaya FC-Iloilo were postponed.
Among the matches affected are Kaya FC-Iloilo's May 12 duel with Tampines Rovers in Singapore and the Busmen's May 13 match-up with Than Quang Ninh in Vietnam.
Ceres-Negros earlier had its April road sorties against Indonesia's Bali United and Cambodia's Phan Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC postponed.
The Busmen have already finished their three home matches and were supposed to wrap up their Group G stint on the road.
Kaya FC-Iloilo April home matches at the Rizal Memorial Stadium against Indonesia's PSM Makasaar and Myanmar's Shan United FC were also put on hold.
AFC will continue to coordinate and consult with its member associations on all possible options for the continuation of all competitions in due course.
