
Chen, Que rule Philippine Homing Pigeon Association Tuguegarao leg

TUGUEGARAO – Charlie Chen and Benito Go Que emerged as the biggest winners in the third leg of the 2018 Philippine Homing Pigeon Association (PHA) North Young Birds and Old Birds Series last Oct.
Chen took top honors in the Young Birds category, while Go Que earned first place in the Old Birds class in the Tuguegarao leg of the seven-part PHA North series.
Chen and PHA-18-00566 – a blue check cock out of Victor Tan Line -- made a speed of 1,499.044 meter per minute to wrest top spot in the Young Birds division.
Go Que came in second and Rey So wound up third.
Go Que and PHA-18-1801741 -- a pencil cock out of 222B Line XVan den Broucke bloodline -- clocked 1,495.447 meter per minute for second place, while So and PHA-18-1801532 –-- a blue check cock out of E. Devos X R. Florizoone origin -- timed 1,492.721 meter per minute for third place.
Also making it to the Top 10 are Rey So, fourth; Rey So, fifth place; Rey So, sixth place Rey So, seventh place; Victor Tan, eighth place Diaz & Galang Loft, ninth place and Paul Ung, 10th place.
In the Old Birds category, Go Que and PHA-17-1700761 – a blue bar white flight cock out of 94D Line/Van den Broucke X 326B Line – took first place with a speed of 1,489.558 meter per minute.
Paul Ung and PHA-18-2832614 – a blue check hen out of Marcel Sangers X Roger Persoons origin — finished second with a speed of 1,482.108 meter per minute, while Victor Tan and PHA-18-1858909 – a blue bar hen out of Janssen Line – came in third with a speed of 1,473.146 meter per minute.
The three top finishers are joined by Henry Tan, Millennium Loft, Lito Trinidad, Paquito Ngo, Arnold Salvador, Teddy & Bibboy and Johnson Si.
PHA Racing Chairman Nelson Chua said a total of 193 birds out of 233 birds f rom 42 lofts were clocked in the Old Birds class.
The birds were released at about 6:20 a.m. last Oct. 28 for an approximately total distance of 380 kilometers.
The other previous winners in the PHA North are:
First leg, Munoz, Oct. 14-- Joel de los Reyes (Young Birds) and Jaime “Jimi” Lim (Old Birds).
Second leg, Sta. Maria, Oct. 21 -- Jeg Ambrosio (Young Birds) and Henry Tan (Old Birds).
