Frayna rules women's online bullet chessfest

WGM Janelle Mae Frayna made history by winning the first National Women's Online Bullet chess championships last April 1.

Frayna, who became the coutry's first-ever WGM with a series of strong performances in  2017,  accumulated 80 arena points to rule the one-day online chess tournament organized by the Brotherhood of The Knights of Square Table Founder/CEO Capt. Ronaldo Banaag.

A former top olayer of Far Eastern University, the 22-year-old Frayna finished ahead of WFM Cherry Ann Mejia, who wound up with 67 arena points, and Maria Euane Jesa Singson, who had 64 points.

WNM Karen Enriquez came in fourth overall with 61 points, while  Virgenie Ruaya finished fifth with 59 points.

Completing the Top 10 are Jessa Mae Lisondra (58 points),  WFM Allaney Jia Doroy (54 points), WFM Jerlyn Mae San Diego (52 points), WIM Marie Antoinextte San Diego (52  points) and WIM Vic Glysen Derotas (50 points).
