STANDOUTS from different eras of the bemedalled La Salle women's volleyball program are in one in facing the country's biggest battle - COVID-19.
Initiated by UAAP Season 71 MVP Manilla Santos-Ng, the Lady Spikers over the weekend had released a three-minute, 42-second YouTube video dubbed as "Different Seasons, One Team."
For libero Melissa Gohing, it is one way of giving moral support to all those involved in fighting the new coronavirus crisis.
"We, The DLSU Lady Spikers come together to show our heartful gratitude and support for our frontliners. We aim our arrows in unity to fight this pandemic," said Gohing.
"Let us unite in prayer and help in any way we can to support our frontliners and our countrymen," she added.
From Meriam Santiago-Abueva to Michele Gumabao, from Ivy Remulla to Majoy Baron, all the Lady Spikers alumni were shown doing their respective archer poses in the video.
"Arrows up to support our frontliners! Sending my solid support as we face these unprecedented times. Lady Spikers in and out of this video are united for our everyday heroes and those that need hope," said Season 70 top middle blocker Celine Hernandez-Lao.
La Salle has won 11 UAAP championships, all under coach Ramil de Jesus.
The Lady Spikers played two matches in Season 82 and posted a 1-1 record before the league terminated the tournament because of the public health emergency.
