SISI Rondina has started auctioning her jerseys and shoes for the personal protective equipment to be used by the frontliners in the coronavirus-hit Barangay Luz, Cebu City.
The densely-populated barangay was recently placed on a total lockdown by the Cebu City government due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in the area.
For more info about the process, there is a dedicated Facebook page for the auction at "PPE’s for the Frontliners of Brgy. Luz".
Rondina, a Southeast Asian Games beach volleyball bronze medalist, started the ball ralling by auctioning her University of Santo Tomas Season 78 dark jersey with a starting bid of P1,200.
The bidding for the Compostela, Cebu native's other jerseys as well as her shoes will be announced later.
"Kami po ay muling kumakatok sa mga mabubuti nyong puso para sumuporta sa mabuting cause na ito. Basta't sama sama kaya natin ito," the Facebook page said.
Rondina earlier also donated her UST Season 78 yellow jersey for the Volleyball Community Gives Back PH: Raffles for Heroes fund drive for the health frontliners.
Also under auction are basketball jerseys by Growling Tigers standouts Renzo Subido and Mark Nonoy with starting bids of P1,200.
Donations of any amount are also welcome thru Cherry Ann Rondina's BDO account number 007280083908.
